Glowforge Patent Filings

#1

A current listing of Glowforge patent applications:

Many were just recently published (end of May). There is nothing really original in any of them. Though, that doesn’t mean our fine patent office will not grant them and let the courts figure it out.

Interesting that all of them date to November 2017 or more recently.

And most invented by just Dan himself.

#4

That’s a bit unusual in my (perhaps sheltered R&D) experience. Most patents have multiple authors as it usually take a multidisciplinary team to develop something truly new these days.

Odd that Dan seems uncertain of so many technical details when he is the sole or main author on all of the patents.
